Pearson Test of English (PTE)
PTE Academic is a computer-based academic English language test aimed at non-native English speakers wanting to study abroad. It tests Reading, Listening and Speaking & Writing.
Questions often test 2 skills together, such as listening and reading or reading and speaking. The whole test is done in a single session, lasting 3 hours and is taken sitting at a computer in a secure test environment. The speaking part of the exam is done at the computer. Your voice is recorded and sent for marking.
One advantage of this test is that you get your results very quickly; typically within 48 hours of taking the test.
PTE ACADEMIC PREPARATION COURSE STRUCTURE
The PTE test is a computer-based English language assessment by Pearson’s publishing company. It assesses listening, reading, speaking, and writing PTE Preparation course consists of four sections (Listening, Reading, Speaking, and Writing), course duration of 12 weeks of study at 20 classroom hours per week.
Classes will run continuously except during college shutdowns which may occur from time to time, usually during the Christmas/New Year period; these will be determined well in advance. The college will also be closed during the public holidays where they fall on a weekday, as determined by the state government.
